There is nothing more beautiful than to be surprised by the Gospel, by the encounter with Christ. There is nothing more beautiful than to know him and to speak to others of our friendship with him. If we let Christ into our lives, we lose nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing of what makes life free, beautiful and great. Only in friendship with Christ is the great potential of human existence truly revealed. Only in this friendship do we experience beauty and liberation.

Pope Benedict XVI

To our Newman Friends,

The above words of our Holy Father are for you! We hope that daily you encounter Christ who has chosen you and has a plan for your life!  His friendship will never fail you – in Him you will find meaning in your heartaches and sufferings, a reason to hope, Someone to trust, a Friend who will always understand you, a God who will fulfill your deepest aspirations and desires. Be encouraged! He has given you a great gift in providing this circle of support and friends. His grace is sufficient for you and will carry you on in confusion or doubt. You are a gift for the Church and to us. As you face the false promises and shams presented by so many persons and cultural venues, be strong in standing with Christ. Truth will always triumph.

“Truth is a discovery of the One who never fails us; the One whom we can always trust. In seeking truth we come to live by belief because ultimately truth is a person: Jesus Christ” (Pope Benedict XVI).

Know that our prayers are with you as we keep perpetual adoration before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Day and night, through thick and thin, there is someone joining with you in prayer, United In Prayer.
