Newman Centers and Catholic Campus Ministry are home to some of the best priests the Catholic Church has to offer. They come from all different parts of the world, from religious orders, to parish priests to everywhere in between. It is the uniqueness of each priest that makes campus ministry so beautiful.
To date we have over 50 Newman Priest who have agreed to bless all of those United In Prayer.
“Our Newman Centers offers a variation of programs. I think that the core of everything we do at Southwest Missouri State is Jesus Christ. I believe every program must be centered around Jesus Christ because he is the reason we do what we do. The truth is the person of Jesus Christ and we try to reflect that in our every day lives here at SEMO. We’ve seen an incredible amount of good happening here with numerous vocations to the religious life and and good number of converts to the faith. Come check us out, Cape Girardeau, MO.”
Fr. Patrick Nwokoye – Southeastern Missouri State
“We invite you to visit us at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. Florida Tech is a science and engineering school that has about 4,500 students, 25% of which are Catholic. We have a full program, adoration, confession, rosary, bible study and RCIA. We invite you to stop in, come to mass, visit us and say hello. We love meeting new people and would love to have you involved in our ministry”
Rev. Douglas Bailey – Florida Tech University
“I remember when I was in college, it was a confusing time. I was trying to discern my own vocation, especially when I thought God may be calling me to become a priest. I am so thankful to have been placed at Newman Hall by my bishop. I can help young people who are living in the gray and living in mediocrity engage themselves into a life with Christ. Its a daily battle but I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Monsignor Gregory Ketcham – University of Illinois
“I’ve been at Vanderbilt for 5 years now, had never done campus ministry before my assignment here. We have really focused on responding to the Sacramental needs of the students here. We are also blessed to have the work of FOCUS missionaries who work one on one with the students, teaching them to go deeper in their faith. Very exciting times here at Vandy Catholic. I’m having an incredible time!”
Fr. John Sims Baker – Vanderbilt University
